As a wedding photographer I am so honored to be a part of my couple’s most important day! I recently got to be a part of this Evermore inspired wedding at the Historic White Star Station in Maryville, TN! Although many weddings are similar each one has their own unique way of showcasing their love. Especially when it comes to their friends, family, and of course wedding party. Rob & Sav were showered in love and speeches that made my heart flutter. Sav knew what she was doing when chose her bridesmaids because those girls were on top of it and so freaking helpful. I remember Sav saying “I haven’t been anxious or stressed at all today” and that is exactly what we want to hear as wedding vendors. Having the support and trust of your best friends & wedding vendors make for a smooth wedding day!
Sav did a wonderful job with her details to make her wedding venue feel as enchanted as the Evermore album. Wildflower florals with pops of color and a green two piece arbor where they said “I do” were only half the Taylor Swift themed goodies! Sav & Rob also made bracelets for each guest and left them at their seats. The gold bracelets had “R & S 4EVA” and through out the reception I would hear random shouts of “ROB & SAV FOREVAAAA!” It was fantastic!
You guys know I love dogs and they have a sweet furbaby named Henry who couldn’t be at the wedding. So Rob had customized cuff links of his sweet babies nose imprinted on them. They also brought out a fat head of their sweet boy while dancing the night away (keep scrolling for those photos 😉
Rob & Sav did a few things differently during their wedding day that made my heart melt. The couple surprised their guests with an awesome flower guy too before they walked each other down the aisle! Yes! The walked each other down the aisle. A beautiful moment for the bride and groom to walk hand in hand together.
Savannah found an amazing poet in downtown Knoxville, who types short poems with her typewriter based off of one word. Sarah, the owner of Scruffy City Scribe was an absolute treat at the reception! Of course, going a long with the T Swift trend (ahem Tortures Poet’s Department). Sarah wrote unique poems for each guest as they came up to her through the night. I saw men and women having poems made for their dates. One lady had a poem made for her dog, my kinda gal! What a fun, interactive party favor for the guests and they loved it!
After their introduction the couple went straight into their first dance. Instead of traditional parent dances they chose to have an all mother’s dance to celebrate for Mother’s Day weekend. Everyone’s mother was honored and it was a thoughtful act on the bride & groom’s part to include their guests. As a wedding photographer it is wonderful to see so many guests interacting on the wedding day!
Thank you Sav & Rob for having us! We had an incredible time documenting your special day and celebrating your love!
With love,
Rachel Ily
