Maddy & Jared’s vision involved a romantic session at Max Patch, bringing to life some of their favorite interests and hints at their future wedding theme. I adored the simplicity of neutral colors in late Spring. We played with light during their engagement photography session using the harsh light to our advantage and creating soft intimate moments with warm embraces and closed eyes.

As an engagement/ wedding photographer I aim to bring out the beauty of connection between the couple. I capture authentic moments through guidance and movement during our session. Many couples feel awkward in front of the camera and honestly so do I! Movement allows us to get out of our heads and be more in the moment with one another. I usually like to warm up a session through walking or doing a simple dance like twirling. The more I get to know the couple the more their session begins to showcase who they are. It’s an amazing experience as an engagement photographer to witness!
